A VERY UNIQUE ORGANIZATION
Smiling Gecko Germany is an association founded in 2018 under German law, which supports the needy population in Cambodia with direct, non-material and financial aid with sustainable, ecologically and economically sensible projects. As a non-governmental organization, Smiling Gecko has set itself the goal of various development aid projects.
This includes: supporting charitable projects for children, families and villages through campaigns and/or with financial means; as a mediator to establish contact between relevant projects (or their sponsors) and potential donors; to ensure that donations are used according to the will of the donors and to provide them with the appropriate information in return. At the same time, Smiling Gecko Switzerland maintains a network with renowned Swiss institutions that support the projects financially, with their specific know-how and/or by taking on planning, design, training, coordination and control tasks in Switzerland and Cambodia.

OUR INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
In addition to the German organization, there is also Smiling Gecko Switzerland based in Dubnedorf, Zurich, Smiling Gecko USA based in Brooklyn, NY and of course Smiling Gecko Cambodia (SGC). SGC operate from our office in Phnom Penh and from the Smiling Gecko Campus . While the non-Asian locations are primarily active in fundraising, SGC is our local operational organization. It is legally independent and largely Cambodian owned.
